With the double-pole contactors of the CU range, Schaltbau expands its array of new and innovative switchgear in the power category up to 1000 A. The switchgear ensure low-wear and reliable switching of high loads. The double coil drive reduces the power consumption in holding operation.
Power contactors of the CU range are suitable for use in photovoltaic systems (in the DC circuit of central inverters) as well as in power supply and battery systems, such as for UPS systems.
Features
The CU series has a compact design with geometrically optimised electric arc chambers. Design and components are based on the power contactors of the CT series.
The double coil drive effectively reduces the power consumption in continuous operation.
The switch state of the main contacts is indicated through snap-action switches with positive opening operation: alternatively, through various combinations of the series S870 and S826.
If required, the CU contactor disconnects the central inverter from the solar fields. The CU complies with the standards EN 60947-3 and UL 60947-4-1.
