What does a Tool Mechanic do?
- Making, maintaining, repairing and modifying tools for injection moulding and presses
- Making, maintaining, repairing and modifying punching and bending tools
- Making, maintaining and repairing devices and production equipment
- Making sample parts
What is required of you?
A good high school leaving certificate or Mittlere Reife are an important foundation for your vocational training. In addition, team spirit, a willingness to learn, reliability and good technical and manual skills are essential requirements for successful training.
How is the training period structured?
The vocational training period of 3.5 years is split into various different learning areas to optimise the college-based and company-based learning content. A shorter training time is possible if you perform well in college and in the company. Hands-on and study-related training is provided on our own training machinery and equipment.

- Building and starting up devices and systems
- Wire installation and connector assembly
- Measuring and analysing electrical functions and systems
- Circuit board measurements
- Producing components and devices
- Setting up, monitoring and maintaining production and testing facilities
- Making electromechanical and electrical components
- Assessing the safety of electrical installations and equipment
